Wear a tank top type undershirt under your Polo. Don't carry with leather next to skin. Will you feel too warm?? I don't. In any case if you are going to carry you'll just have to make the necessary dress adjustments.

I'm in the Portland, OR area also, and this 97 degrees is unusually hot for us. I had to go out yesterday and substituted a Star Firestar 9 mm and one spare magazine (on the belt) for my usual Combat Commander and two spares. I wore a colored t-shirt and covered the Firestar with an open short-sleeved casual shirt not tucked into my pants (no polo). While not my traditional "look", it worked fine - even for an old f**t like me. I certainly could have concealed the bigger Colt and two magazines with that clothing, but just didn't feel like tightening my belt enough to bear up under the added weight.

When it gets too hot for me to wear my Sig P-239 in my IWB holster using an undershirt, then I switch to my Kahr PM-9 in a pocket holster.

To exactly, beat me to the post I was thinking the same thing, New to CCW got my IWB holster from Bluegrass 2 days ago and starting wearing it with my Blue Glock 26 training gun in order to break in the hoslter. I can CC in Nassau County but cannot leagally in the NYC area and spend more time at work in the NYC area than home. Never wore a undershirt before i was having the same problems.Sticks to/rubs the skin. Somebody should make a 2 part tee shirt, the inside part can be slipped behind and the other would look like normal cover. Dibbs on the idea!!

A wife beater under an unbuttoned, short sleeve, ALL COTTON shirt. They're thinner, cooler and don't bind in the shoulders like regular t-shirts. I dress like that during the Spring and Summer then in late Fall through Winter I switch to regular Ts with long sleeve all cotton button up shirts as cover garments.
Knit polo shirts don't breathe for crap, I gave up wearing those several years ago along with anything that has polyester or rayon in the blend - for the same reason. Jack

The Underarmor style shirts do work very well. Most are slick enough that they don't cause your undershirt to bind against your overshirt.
Also, Underarmor specifically has "Heat Gear" and "Cold Gear" depending on Climate and time of year. Adjust accordingly and your wardrobe doesn't even have to really change ;) |

Good idea. I'm thinking that an MTAC might also do well.

Almost exactly what I would say.
