Az- If issued after August 2005 it's 5 yrs for $65 plus the cost of the class: $99 to $125 for the initial class and $45 to $99 for the renewal class. If issue before August it is a 4 yr permit.

ME Non Res $60, Res $40 for 4 years
NH Res $10 for 4 years
NY 100+ not sure yet...moving in three weeks, valid "untill revoked", or as worded by someone else "unless revoked for cause, pistol licenses are good for life."

it shows the influence of NYC on NY politics.......NYC basically has it's own CCW laws so they don't care how long the "state" permit is good for, therefore the upstate repubs made it lifetime.

upstate is with very few exeptions a "red" state, downstate is hardcore dems.

AZ-4 years going to 5 next renewal. After Oct 06, no renewal classes necessary if renewed on time. No reminders.(check my instructor's web site at CCW-Permit.com)

Alabama is issued by the sheriff in the county so they want to keep the money coming in. $20 for one year.

First permit in TN is $100 to Dept. of Safety (+$24 for prints) + cost of class. Renewal permits are a flat $50 (no classes or FP req'd) - Both new and renewal permits are 4 years.

Indiana just passed the lifetime permit, I believe it goes into effect 1/1/07. If you already have a permit it costs $100 if it's your first it costs $125. Current permits cost $25 and are good for 4 years.
