Guilty ! Sort of...

I "lost" my Walther P-22 to my wife

She bought it for me and liked it so much that she decided to keep it for herself.

Lost a Charter Arms .38 Back Up years ago. Always had it under the seat of my car. The only thing I can imagine is that I must have left it in there while the car was getting serviced and someone liberated it.

Was ~20 years ago. Much younger and dumber then.

Not been carrying long enough to do that ...... yet. (Hope it never happens, but know, my time is comming.)

I did drop it out of my pants while cleaning the garage a few months ago. IWB, no holster. You know the drill, bend over, pick up box, carry across garage, put down box, thud goes gun on floor.
My IWB holster is on order from CopsPlus.com, due to arive any day now.

Fragman, you're experience is nearly identical to mine of just yesterday. Got to Denver and thought we left a loaded mag in the hotel room in Salt Lake City, then after tearing all the luggage apart three times we found it in the glovebox...duh.

Then there's the experience of about 10 years ago when the wife and I left a loaded speedloader in a hotel room...we remembered about an hour down the road but never looked back or called them...must have been quite an item in the housekeeping lost and found bin!

Oops

A gentleman drove 60 miles down the road and realized he left his gun in the mens room at a gas n go. He flagged down a deputy in the next county who contacted dispatch and had them call the P.D. to find and secure the gun. The piece was never located.

I was crossing the street once and was hit by a car. My Glock 26 flew out of my wild bill's open top rig.

Does that count?

Was cleaning my guns one afternoon. my brand new 1911 no less.had the house to myslf...a rarity.
was walking from one room to the next for a soda and when i came back the gun was GONE! i tore that lower floor of the house apart...as i HAD to find that before my wife and 3 yr old came home and i had to admit i lost my gun (not loaded, just lost) i'm thinking "i never went anywhere! where is it!"
well after almost 30 minutes looking between 2 stinkin' rooms i see it laying on the back of the couch, in plain sight. i just got so freaked that it was gone, i totally overlooked it. i carried it 1/4 of the way to the kitchen, set it down on the back cushions of the couch, then went on to the the fridge.
embarrassing but almost a lot more embarrassing.
