Your friends will probably be the first ones to run and hide behind you when the shooting starts.

Chris glad you are with us.
Shoot often
Shoot safely

It took a violent scene of a high school couple getting car-jacked, raped repeatedly, tied up, beaten, shot, burned, and stuffed into a garbage can for my niece and her husband in Knoxville, TN to tell me...' we have seen enough, we want to buy some guns and get our carry permits'. The community is still trying to recover from the most insane crime in at least 10 years. I will gather and post links that recall the details if anybody wants. Believe me, it was most gruesome. Fortunatley, the three thugs have been caught and are going to do hard time for this. Still, the families mourn.

Violence is everywhere in America it seems, these days. Just like the folks in the mall in Salt Lake City, you never know when 'the moment of truth' will arrive!

Aside: Everyone has to make decisions about self defense and, your friends have made theirs.

Thanks guys for your input. Lowflyer, that is a beaut of a holster and I will look at them. I've also looked hard at Gary's max-con VI, but twelve to sixteen weeks is a long wait. In any case, holster drawer, here I come. Yes, it was xd holster to W.W.

I agree, you can't have too many holsters. For casual attire or outdoor activities I recommend:

I have a Springfield XD Subcompact .40 and my holster is a sidekick.
I think that I will try a belly band next. Have you looked at any IWB models yet?
