Yea, I remember being confused on that site the first few times I went there for info. This is when I first got into CCW. That's one of the reasons I'm trying to built my site to be easy to get information from especially for newcomers since I know how it is.

Hey - finally found you guys....

I was a long-time packing.org member......hated the transition to the new system over there (Mark - what were you thinking?)....anyway, glad to be back among gun-toting friends. My modest donation has already been sent up to the webmaster.....

Stay safe, pack 24/7 (heck, I do!)

There was a certain dysfunction on the website. Now there's a permanent malfunction. I don't miss it.

I remember PDO. I recently e-mailed Gary Slider attempting to get him fired up. We didn't agree on much of anything, but I'm sure he did the best he could. I was new to carrying back then and enjoyed arguing with him on just about any topic. That was years ago and I've learned a great deal since then. Yeah, he was right about alot of things. Too bad PDO couldn't manage to stay alive, it was great place to hear from some gifted people - including Gary Slider.

Don't really miss it.
I did a InterNIC Whois Domain Lookup and found this information:

Domain Name:PACKING.ORG
Created On:04-Dec-1999 02:50:56 UTC
Last Updated On:12-Oct-2007 22:59:13 UTC
Expiration Date:04-Dec-2012 02:50:56 UTC
Sponsoring Registrar:Network Solutions LLC

I have heard a lot about it but never been able to access it but oh well, it sounds like it has had its fall from grace.

I check out handgunlaw from time to time but the website confuses me sometimes but I guess that is the newbie in me.

i cant believe we dont currently have a decent online web site where you can clearly see the ccw/gun laws for each state. ridiculous!
packing.org may not have been the perfect, but it was the best out there IMO, i sure havnt found anything worth anything since then

What's wrong with handgunlaw.us?

Have you tried it?
