Well, it's not so much worrying about the pistol if you left it in the Jeep. Even if you don't, you still risk having your glass smashed in by some POS looking for a pistol and other things possibly stolen/vandalized. On another note, when I lived in Florida, I saw a pretty cool license plate from NC. KIMBR.45 It even had the decimal point... |

I do no stickers on my cars. My vehicles are a source of pride for me, so I dont want to go junkin them up with stickers. Besides, I really dont think the guy sitting behind me really cares what my hobbies or interests are, nor do I care what his are.
I do think the gun ones are advertising for unwanted attention.

No bumper stickers on either of my vehicles, but I proudly display an American flag decal, and an NRA decal in the rear window of my pick-up truck.

<----------------------- About 30 years ago I had an old (even then) 1953 Chevy pickup, it was primer red and I placed an 18" Marine Corps decal in the flat area between the front of the bed and rear fender well, along with 15 or so pro gun stickers on each side. I (and a couple hundred other people) use to swim in some abandoned quarries just outside of town; there were constant vehicle break-ins in the parking area. With that old truck I could drive further in toward the swimming area and parked along the trail. Funny, no one ever touched my truck, along with the stickers, the empty rifle rack in the back window and empty ammo box on the dash might have had something to do with it. I saw many people walk 15 feet out of their way to stay clear of that old truck ![]() |

ignorant does not mean stupid. They just were not taught any different. Sometimes it just happens. Who knows it may even benefit at times. |

I like to be able to disappear if necessary. Might make it harder for the BG to follow my vehicle, especially since it is a very common one. Another reason is because of traffic stops. While I suspect most LEOs are pro gun or at least neutral, I have no proof to back that up and I am sure at least one is anti gun to some extent. With my luck I would get pulled over by that one anti. I try my best not to "freak out" a police officer or do anything else that might offend/upset them. Their job is hard enough. I do like the one that says "Gun control means hitting your target" though. As far as clothing, I think there is a time and a place for it. I think at a shooting range or gun shop it would be more appropriate and could even spark a friendly discussion. More often than not I avoid wearing it, mostly to avoid conflict.

I am more in the don't advertise camp. The element of surprise is a good thing to have if the need to use force ever comes up. however, I do wonder though if such stickers also have a deterrent effect.

I just don't like bumper stickers.
![]() The only thing going on my Jeep is aftermarket parts like bigger tires/wheels, a new rear bumper, lights on the new front bumper, a 2.5" lift... Not exactly "gray man" but any thief with the patience to remove car parts from a modified Jeep earns a nod of respect while I hunt his ass down. ![]() -B |
