I am not concerned about wearing my NRA shirts and hats and displaying my NRA sticker on my truck, I am very proud to do so. This kind of activity does not say you carry a gun, it just demonstrates your support for the 2nd Amendment. As long as you carry concealed a person still would not know if your carring.

I'm not a bumper sticker fan though I find myself laughing a lot at other's that are funny.
1. It ruins the paint job if not on the bumper.
2. You're "labeled". That may be good but I like vanilla and don't want other driver's second guessing me.
3. As a new believer, I had "Jesus is Lord" on my bumper. That lasted a week. I wanted to change it to, "Jesus is Lord (in everything but traffic).
4. As other posts stated, it's an open invitation to a break in. It's the same on posting your house. More of an attraction for thieves than a deterrent.
As I said, I don't mind bumper stickers and even find them entertaining. Just not for me.

I have a "driver does not carry more than $50 worth of ammo" & a plate Frame "my other auto is a Kahr"
But these are not on my car or truck. I do have a Life NRA sticker on my car.
I almost think it is easier to be part of HA/KKK or some other gang than it is to be a gun owner. We are constantly worried about the image we portray.

Just not big on bumper stickers on cars. I like the grey man principle! +1 on that!

I do put stickers on some of my gun cases and gun tool/cleaning box.

No way, no how. No stickers on my cars, except for the EGA. No logo stuff off duty. Going gray is my way.

Ditto here, too. As a CCWer I think bumper stickers, lapel pins, NRA hats, Make My Day t-shirts, etc. are a form of advertising.
Advertising draws attention.
Attention=Trouble (potentially).

It's sort of like the "No Fear" and the "Fear This" stickers. They virtually shout "I'm a bad@$$--wanna find out?"

I drive one of those vehicles that is the rage to be stolen. Not sure a sticker is gonna make it worth any more or less to them. Frankly, not sure if anyone pays much attention to them in the first place. My Harley is the same way. Does not require a sticker to say steal me.

Wink Image

If you think being a gun owner makes you aware of the image you are portraying, try being a professional driver (Trucker), CCW permittee, and an avid gun owner. The classic trucking songs talk about speeding, cheating, and road dope. All things that are 99% false now in trucking. With the exception of speeding where most drivers run 5 mph over the limit. Almost all fleet trucks are governed at 65 or less. Oops, off threat again. I do wander so when left unattended. Anyway, yes we do work hard to portray a positive image of gun owners. That is one of the things that separates us from the thugs who are working to destroy our image. RANT TRANSMISSION ENDED

Years and years before we had carry concealment in Missouri, I would see " This car protected by Smith and Wesson" bumper stickers on cars. I do not think people thought much of them then and I doubt that it makes a difference now. People have been doing this for years to show what side of the discussion they are on. Remember the waving hand " Baby On Board" for your back window. Well I didn't drive differently because of them and I doubt you did either.
