Hmn, I had a lifetime longgun permit in Mass.

Well, I don't know who's lifetime it was but sure not MY lifetime. Perhaps it was the lifetime of common sense.

Alabama is good news and bad news. Bad news: permit is good for only one year. Good news: walk into the sheriff's office give them the old one and pay - they give you the new one. Depending on sheriff's office done in 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
