Do you dress like a CCW'er?

I was reading on another thread about someone who was wearing a lot of "cammo". At first I thought they were kidding, but later realized they were being serious and dress like this on purpose.

I know there are different camps on open and being concealed all the time. Hopefully this thread doesn't turn into one of those discussions. I am more interested in who "advertises" that they carry?

When I am carrying there are a few things I will not wear. Those include a fanny pack, any shirt, jacket, hat, etc...with a gun affiliation, and anything that even looks or can be considered "tactical". To me cammo is a BIG look at me to see if i'm carrying sign.

And lastly but most importantly, I nor any of my family members wear cammo anything. Mabye it's because I spent too many years in the Army, but I will never wear cammo again.

I can see wearing cammo if your hunting, but most people I see wearing it are not hunting, unless they are on the prowl at the mall.

Plus the fact that those who do where cammo seem to... disappear sometimes.

My attire has not changed at all since I started CCW. No camo or tactical wear for me.

Terry,

Do a quick search for "Mall Ninja." We have had quite a few good laughs about this in the past.

Nope, I don't dress like it. I look "normal" other than never tucking a shirt in. But there's a lot of ladies' fashions that allow that, so I'm good to go. I have a couple vests, but they're "sporty" looking and don't scream "I'm hiding a gun."

Luckily it's mostly other CCW'ers who spot other CCW'ers; the average person won't know because people don't look for things like that.

There's a lot people here in TN who wear camo or leather western-looking vests as regular attire, so those really don't stand out.

I did spot one guy who walking around looking at everybody like and wore tacti-cool clothes from head to toe. Not suspicious. Nope.
