MN has a very good CARRY LAW (not a CCW law) so you can open or conceal carry based on your wants and needs.
![]() You can carry in all but metal detector sites, you can carry at the State Capital so you can lobby for your rights (requires one time notification for the length of your 5 year permit to the State Police) and you can carry in K-12 schools with principle or superintendent approval (know lots of parents who have that written approval). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

So, lets break it down here..I am starting to get the hang of this. However, I am not crazy about arming and disarming all the time, and leaving the firearm in the car.
What states let me carry anywhere on campus, in restaurant and on other public places and on top of that lets me carry in most other states? To me that seems to be a AZ,TX or FL permit?! |

You aren't legally barred from carrying in retail places, even if they have a sign posted; but if they see your gun, they can ask you to leave. If you don't at that point, you're trespassing. Basically, concealed is CONCEALED. I thought I saw a recent story on CNN.com or somewhere about students carrying concealed on a campus in UT, but I don't know about other UT carry laws, and if they were carrying legally or not. -JT |

Colorado has a statutory ban on K-12 carry, but not on university campuses. Most CO universities ban carry for students, but UNC is the exception here.

Vermont or Alaska. Then followed by the southern belt (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, Louisiana, etc.)

I've noticed that the Colorado statute specifically bans "public" K-12 carry. I've often times wondered if private schools are permited.

![]() For colleges the choice is left to the administrators: The politically collect University of Colorado is for the main campus at Boulder (often referred to as the Berkeley of the Rockies or The Peoples Republic of Boulder)and all branch campuses.Colorado State University in Ft Coliins CCW is except in dorms. I don't know about CSU's branch campuses.

Utah, reciprosity with 33 states. Carry K-12, I know of school teachers that carry, and any university except for private ones that post it. Can carry into bars and drink so long as you arent intoxicated. Add into all of that castle doctrine and I think its a great place to live with plenty of gun ranges, wide open spaces and other CCWers.

Yes, but that's because of the limitations of other states, not VT or AK. And as already pointed out, AK will even do you the favor of giving you a state "permit" you can take abroad. If the conversation is still which states are best for CCW, VT and AK definitely have the most Constitutional laws.
