Well, you're SOL at ORU, TU, OCU, SNU, OWU, OBU, St. Greg's and probably a couple of others about which I have forgotten.
Other issues: (1) as noted above, do we need out DD-214's to keep out of jail?; (2) do I need to write Hargis in Stillwater EVERY time I go see the boy, or it once enough? Do I need to do a restricted-delivery, return receipt requested?

If this passes, I will plan to write every college and university in Oklahoma notifying them that I will be carrying when I go on their campus. I will also carry my lifetime VFW membership card along with my DL and CHL.

People "in the know" understand that VFW membership means prior service. But will this cover you legally?

OU faculty opposes bill to allow on-campus guns
Will you look at this garbage!
All Oklahomans needs to contact their State Senator and voice their support for HB2513! Click here! OU faculty opposes bill to allow on-campus guns NORMAN -- The University of Oklahoma's faculty senate has voted against a legislative proposal that would allow people to carry guns on college campus. The House-approved bill, which is pending in the Oklahoma Senate, authorizes active-duty military personnel, honorably discharged veterans and others with firearms training to carry a concealed weapon on campus. The OU Faculty Senate passed a resolution against the bill early this week by 27 out of 30 votes. The Council of Presidents, made up of the presidents of the states 25 public colleges and universities, unanimously passed a resolution earlier this month opposing the bill. OU President David Boren also released a statement condemning the legislation. "If it would help for me to get down on my knees to plead with the legislature for the safety of our students, I would do so," he said. Earlier this week, Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis also came out in opposition to the bill. "While we all share concern for the safety of all our campuses, this proposal is fraught with unnecessary risks," Hargis said. "... Additional weapons on campus only increase the risk of a weapon in the possession of the wrong person." The OU Faculty Senate resolution also cites safety as the reason for opposition to the bill. "We believe that allowing guns on our campus would endanger the safety of our students, faculty and staff," the resolution reads. "Furthermore, we, the faculty, cannot imagine being able to conduct class in a classroom where one or more of our students might be armed. "We cannot imagine students being able to concentrate on a class, knowing that some of their fellow students might be armed." The measure by Rep. Jason Murphey, R-Guthrie, is supported by the National Rifle Association. He has called it a "common-sense step" to expand Oklahoma's concealed weapons law to combat campus violence. Supporters say it would make college campuses safer by putting guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
