A few shot elk via CCW holders and it will be all over folks. The real danger in National Parks is from the two legged animals, not the four legged ones.
I agree... the rules for CCW don't change in national parks. Defense of life and property (within reason... I'm a lot more apt to let a bear rip apart my camper than a human... go figure).

However, I have to add, the danger of four legged animals is pretty real. Having been 30 yards away from a sow Grizzly and her two cubs last week in Denali National Park, while being disarmed, was a bit of an adrenaline rush. Although my puny little .45 wouldn't have been much fun to engage with, and I would not have engaged regardless unless attacked.

Either way, my tendancy is to give animals far more leeway than people. Perhaps it's the fundamental difference that a bear (or whatever) is just surviving, where a person is likely to just be greedy. I'm not going to kill a bear for just being a bear.

Maybe this will be another little push to get things moving in TN such as park reform, and 50% alcohol bars, etc. Naifeh needs to get demoted.

I would think a stand alone bathroom would not count as a federal facility. Ohio recently had a moment of clarity by declaring the state owned buildings prohibition as applying to where state business is conducted and did not apply to interstate rest stops.
