This rule of having a holster that covers the trigger also applys to purse carry or fanny pack. Also you should carry in a pocket designated only for the gun.
I have always wondered how many gang bangers shoot themselves because they don't have a good holster.

I'm kinda new at this but... what's wrong with carrying the P-32 naked without one in the chamber?

You can carry it however you want. How do you know that you will be able to chamber a round in a high stress situation? Will you even have enough time to do that? Will you even remember? Why take the chance. You must have complete confidence when carrying. It would be ashame to die because of your gun not being loaded to fire when you could have had one in the chamber. You might die anyhow but why not do something that might save your life. I prefer not to take that chance.

That's kinda what I thought JCW. FWIW, If I were to have one in the chamber, I'd definitely have it holstered.

I have the P-32 and find it rather odd that the double-action trigger (that requires 5-6 lbs of force) was that easy to be pulled while grabbing for pills for the poor fella.

To add to what JCW355 said, carrying one naked breaks the rule of handling every gun like it is loaded. EVERY gun is considered loaded this applies to carrying. Even if you don't have one in the chamber you need to treat it like there is. By not doing so, you are increasing the risk of an "OOPS" How many times have guns "just gone off" when being cleaned? The first step to cleaning is unload the gun. If its unloaded it can't go off, but they still do! This means that either a magical bullet (a cousin of the one that killed JFK) just jumped into the chamber, or the operator goofed.

Get a holster and cover that trigger - just another safeguard.

My personal rules for CCW
1. Always carry Loaded
2. Always carry in a holster with the trigger fully covered.
3. Keep my stupid fat finger off the trigger until I'm on target ready to shoot something!

+1 Hotguns

I've frequently carried a naked gun in pocket. Always it is the Only Item in the pocket but I will get a holster for it now!

Thanks for the post!
