SC CWP Question
I called SLED today to check on the status of my CWP application and the lady tells me they recieved it on the 28th of April and had until the 28th of July to issue. But the 27th of July with be 90 days. I sent the app in on the 24th of April and they Should have got it the 25th of April according to USPS. The check posted to my acct on the 30th of April. Some people I have talked to including my instructor I took the course under told me it should take round about 60 days or sometime around there. So can someone give me a idea of a date when to expect the plastic to hit the mailbox or when to start looking for it cause this wait is killing me.

I received mine in 62 days. A friend of mine sent his app on 26 Mar and just received this past Monday. It should come any day now. You just have to be patient.

They do have 90 days. And it can take the full 90. Mine was about 67 days but others have been more. A very few have been shorter. Most are nearer to 90 days. Do not bother to call again. Wait. Patience...

Keep panties on. I was told to expect the full 90 days because most others took 90. Figure that and anything less is a bonus and cause to celebrate. Mine took exactly 60 days so don't expect anything less than 60.

Mine took 3 months. My FL out of state permit only took 2 months. Go figure.

Almost 90 days for me back in 2006.
NH is up to almost 60, and still no permit. Took 45 days just to cash the check.

72 days for me in SC. That was almost 2 yrs ago. From what I've heard, the number of applicants has really grown since then. Hang in there it'll be in your hands soon. :^)

Mine took about 62 days, I received it in March 2008. You should get yours very soon, and as some other posts have said, there are a lot more people getting them now.
I wonder how we could find out the total number of active permits in SC.
