Yeah mine was about a week as well. Sometimes I love this state.

(Except when I'm working in 120º heat)

I lived in AZ from 1989 through 2003, and would return in a heartbeat. But, I have never been to a place where I had as many scary incidents as AZ, all but one totally unprovoked by me.

1)Had a nutcase meth head as a neighbor that threatened to bash my head in with a baseball bat. Only my wife stopped me from going after him with a 9mm.
2) A convicted sex offender followed my wife home, I cocked a 357 in his ear and told him to leave or die. Police picked him up 2 days later looking for my house, and he went back to jail.
3) Got shot at riding my motorcycle on the superstition freeway, before I had my ccw.
4) 4 of out southern neighbors finest trying to force me and my wife off the road in the middle of the desert, miles from nowhere. We were out coyote hunting and I always carried an L1A1 in the SUV, they did not like the sight of that.
5) Got followed by 3 gangbangers out of a Walmart, and when they started making "the move" on me, I persuaded them to go elsewhere with a G26.
6) Was run off the road on my bicycle intentionally, had to take cover behind a lamp pole and draw my Star Firestar.
7) Was accosted while walking my 2 miniature pinchers by one of the scariest people I have ever seen, and told that the dogs would not be much help for self defence. I told him I walked a small dog and carried a big gun. This was in the same park where a girl was beheaded and her bicycle stolen.
8) Got into a road rage incident with a bunch of punks (they started it and would not back down, followed me even after making a couple of turns) that got so bad I stopped at a banks parking lot and exited with a G20, and retrieved an M1 carbine from the rear of my Pathfinder.
10) Had people come and scope me out while camping near Stoneman Lake that made me so uncomfortable, I packed up just before dusk and moved a couple of miles.
11) Pepper sprayed a loud mouthed juvenile in a movie theatre that called my wife a beech. I grabbed her and scattered..

Whoa! Lot's of encounters...glad you stayed alive. Now as for the smart alec punk, I can't imagine what his face must have looked like when he got a blast of pepper spray. I'm sure he cried like a baby.
