That is a valid point Thumper. I also bet the fact I am in TX helps my situation a little. I guess I could look like a plain clothes LEO, shaved head and a clean beard and neatly dressed.

Not to mention every time the lady asked if I liked the belt I responded with "10-4" . Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Yup, same here. When I first started carrying, I carried my Beretta 92FS OWB. Eventually I got a good IWB (MTAC), and I have to say -- it's more comfortable than my OWB holster, better concealed, etc... I'd encourage you to try that option, but, heck, if it works for you, no worries.

I've only once had someone notice, and that was shorts, t-shirt, in my own home, while I was leaning in front of this person to reach something so the "printing" was right in front of her face. Even then she didn't have a clue what it was.

Some people are so clueless you could drop a house on them and they wouldn't even notice. Just sit in your car in a grocery store lot or a mall lot and you will see what I mean. Unless you were carrying a shot gun over your shoulder most people would not notice.

I am only 5-10 150lbs, and concealing anything bigger than a subcompact can be a chore for me without a jacket or sweater. Use your size to your advantage!
i'm kinka the same way but 40 more #. my edc (g-27) with
my c-tac, wearing a loose t-shirt seems like it prints alittle
lower butt of the gun so i usually wear a botton up dress
shirt and i'm go to go.(short sleeve in warmer months).

Of course. And that's the way the media and those in power want it to be. If everyone (the masses) in the country was more aware of all of the home invasions, robberies, muggings, etc. that occur 'every day' in our society that 'we' read about on this forum (which I'm sure is only a small percentage of what really occurs) I'm sure public opinion of the importance of being able to defend oneself and the logic of incarcerating criminals and executing murderers and rapists would be much greater and more evident.

Where are these people who carry?

I've been carrying for only about 4 months and I spend a great deal of my time looking for people who carry and I have yet to ID one yet. Heck, I was in my first day of one of Masaad Ayoob's classes and I couldn't tell the guys who were CC'ing even though I knew most of them were on the first day of class. However, it is fun and I'll find one soon!

When I first started CC I also felt everybody knew. As time went along I found out they did not see or if they did didn't carry. I to am a big guy and OWB carry and have not had any problems. I even OC at times and found no one see's, knows what it is or cares. Do not worry that much about.

I think that really has a lot more to do with it than most of us think. Cell phones of varying shapes and sizes are being stored in every imaginable pocket and holsters for these phones are being designed to fit on every part of the human body.

But honestly, who cares if the general public notices? I carry for protection, not to gage the reaction.

A lot of the U.S. population, myself included, has bulges where there shouldn't be bulges anyway so what is one more. Unless the shirt were to ride up or the shirt was too tight, nobody will notice.

My Wife is coming around, she was a but I have been sharing stories with her form around the country of exactly what we all have been talking about, home invasions, car jackings, businesses being robbed, etc, etc.

This morning as I was leaving she hugged and kissed me and when she was breaking off of the morning hug/kiss her left hand dropped and hit my pistol.

Knowing how he used to feel about the idea of me carrying, I asked her "did that do anything for you, did it make any thoughts pop in your head, how did you feel about it?" To which she responded "I'm still not sure about you carrying everyday, but then again you never know when something is going to happen."

There IS hope for those out there if my self admittedly naive Wife can come around.
