Fantastic news! As a Florida permit holder since day one, I have been waiting for this.

Looking at the SLED site, I don't see anything yet...hopefully soon.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division

SC is the only state in the South we couldn't carry in. Not anymore!

I don't understand. When I visited the site, it hadn't been updated since February, and there's no mention of Virginia. Is there another place where the new list is mentioned?

I just got off the phone with the captain in charge of the SLED section that's putting the new SC CCW reciprocity list together. According to him, it's still NOT ready as several of the agreements necessary are yet to be signed by the respective states attorneys-general.

The captain said a complete list WILL be published on the SLED web page SHORTLY. It is OBVIOUS that SLED is proceeding cautiously and NOT wanting to release any information PREMATURELY.

I DID, however, get him to confirm that MY state (KY) was GOING to be on that list WHEN it actually becomes effective!

Is this for residents of those states only? What about non-res, such as those of us with non-res FLA?

That would be awsome if they accepted VA's permits. I have a VA permit and I go to SC often to visit my parents. It's pretty much the only state in the south that I go to that I cannot carry in.

Yes I wonder were this was also. It would be good for us in CT, if we could carry in SC.
CT does not accept permits from any other state's.
