Believe it or not, the 3 & 5 year old will handle it better than the older ones.

I let my kids know that they can hold or look at my firearms at any time as long as they ask me first. I've seen some parents just go over board & refuse to show the child their firearm & tell them it's a huge no, no for them to even look at it. Well, curiosity killed the cat...

Paco, how are you stowing your piece in the car? I can't carry at work (company policy) so I have ordered a C.O.M. lockbox that I'll bolt to the passenger side floorboard under the mat. Only bad thing is with these 105 degree days we have been having here (Ft. Worth) it's a little warm when I holster it at the end of the day for the drive home.

For now I have been locking it in the glove box. I am going to be getting me a COM lock box as well. The nice Texas Summer we are finally getting in to does make me a bit nervous. I would hate to some out and see the results of 15 .40 hollow points going off in my glove box

Dont have to worry about the heat. I asked my instuctor about that also. Can remember how hot rounds actually have to get before things start to happen, but he assured me (as so did forum members) that 130 -150 that it can get to (inside car) in this sucky texas heat is nothing to worry about. It has been a scorcher the past day or so, huh? Paco, where do you go shoot at? Ive been to the Bullet trap a couple of times. I really like the store, its just too far to drive from the Ft worth area. later

I used to shoot at the Bass Pro in Grapevine, but I am no longer in our Coppell office. I have thought about the Bullet Trap, but I don't like the idea of me having to disarm to go shoot.

The 1 promising place near McKinney that I was hoping for has closed down due to zoning issues with the city of McKinney.

So I am without a range right now.

Good to know my chick magnet mini van will not blow up on the days I leave the piece in the glove box, dang it (I was hoping for a nice insurance check to get something that doesn't scream "married father of 4" (sorry, I really miss my Silverado!).

Great news!!

I was talking with one of the Exec Admins/HR Generalists at work and she and her husband are both CHL holders.

So I know that I am not alone here, woohoo!

Just thought I'd share.
