Obviously, applicant cannot be a convicted felon, pled guilty to domestic violence and cannot be a habitual user of drugs or alcohol.

The wait is 120 days, no more no less.

A change in the state law changes the validity date from 4 years to five years.

Here's the state DPS web site:

Any training requirement?

Nope, none. I know two different inviduals who have MS permits and have never fired a gun in their life, to include the ones they are now carrying. One of them, a 38 year old woman I have known most of my life, had to have her husband load her .38 revolver for her. She could not figure out how. The other individual is a man, by the way. He is carrying a Bersa .380. He has never fired a handgun, but he told me will "get around" to learning to shoot it "soon". Meanwhile, he carries it ever day.

Good to see another state sign with MS. The more the better! Now we really need to work on non-resident permits.

Well, now I'm confused about how WV does reciprocity. In the past they seemingly ignored states that had a "lower," requirement than their own(no training requirement), and ran to get states like FL and MI with higher requirements(fingerprinting).
So it seems to me they should recognize ANY state that recognizes them.

So I can carry in Mississippi now with my WV CCW? Or do I need some other form of paperwork?

Valid license from WV and you should be good to go.

BTW, Mississippi does not require disclosure to LEO.
