Mississippi/West Virginia Sign Reciprocity Agreement

West Virginia and Mississippi have announced they have signed a reciprocity agreement. This brings to 25 the number of states Mississippi has signed with and 15 for West Virginia.

Handgunlaw.us will be updated in the next 24 hours to show this change in reciprocity.

Actually the fee is $100.00 and a $32.00 fee for fingerprints (done by the Highway Patrol for the initial application).

A front-face photograph is required.

Obviously, applicant cannot be a convicted felon, pled guilty to domestic violence and cannot be a habitual user of drugs or alcohol.

The wait is 120 days, no more no less.

A change in the state law changes the validity date from 4 years to five years.

Here's the state DPS web site:

West Virginia just signed with Oklahoma too. About time, I go there every year to see family, now I can carry legally.
