Don't forget Delaware borders PA and there is also no reciprosity. PA will issue a permit to a Delaware resident with a Delaware CCDW without any hassle, though.

Fortunately, I was able to get a UT non-res which DE recognizes.

To get a CCW you must pass an approved training course and qualify with every semi-auto you intend to carry. If you want to carry revolvers, you only have to qualify with one. Then you have to pay $100.25 to the Sheriff and wait. The only business I have seen banning guns is the Meadows Mall in Vegas, but obviously they have not read the Nevada Revised Statutes on CCW because the do not have a sign on every public entrance which is required to restrict carry.

First, add Boulder to the list prohibiting open carry. North Las Vegas and Boulder are the only 2 problem areas. You also can't have a gun in a car in plain sight in those 2 areas, unlike the rest of the state.

Also, -while businesses can put up signs saying that carrying firearms is prohibited, there is no means of enforcement other than asking you to leave, and having you locked up under the trespass laws if you don't comply. But there is no legal penalty for carrying their. Only
the typical places, government buildings, etc are off limit. No stupid laws prohibiting carry in a restaurant or even a bar. Heck, while I don't think it's wise, it's legal to drink while carrying, as long as you don't exceed the legal limit- is: if you can legally drive after drinking, no problem (other than your loss of aiming ability, and judgement).

By the way, as far as T shirts, I've started my political campaigning (Mods, I'm relating this for the humor benefit, not to campaign or discuss politics) by wearing my new shirts- First, one has a picture of Obama, with the slogan, "The audacity of BS (not abbreviated, by the way). The other says "Barack Obama- No Experience, No Ideas, No Guts, No way!" I always get looks, and I'm stopped frequently with complements/

I used to live in Vermont. No CCW needed = reciprocity and no exemption from GFSZ. Off limits = Schools K-12 and university buildings/vehicles, state buildings, improved areas of state parks during certain times of year (swiming areas with concessions, camping areas), and usual federal places. No duty to retreat by case law outside home.

I now live in PA. Similar lack of restrictions to Vermont.

Like a poster said VT, PA, UT, ID, OR, NH, IN, WA, ME, AK , ND, SD, MT, WY, WV easy to get permits, all great states with few restrictions no police hassle.

Place with the most restrictions = Texas (if the gun even prints you are in trouble), plus the police arrest/harass for the slightest thing.

Other shall issue states with lots of restrictions = FL, WY, AZ, NM, VA, OH, AR, KS, KY, MS, MO, NC, OK, SC, GA, TN

MA, NY, NJ, CA, CT, DE = Issue states, but almost impossible to get. VERY few restrictions if you can get one in any of these states.

DC, MD, HI, IL, WI = Move somewhere else!

Most harassment from police for any little thing. = TX, FL, OH, VA, TN, AR, MD, MA, IL, CA, OK, AZ

Least police harassment states = VT, OR, MT, ME, NY (upstate only)

Most constitutional freedom = VT, MT, WA, ID

States not listed are "somewhere in the middle".

These observations are made based on "places off limits" on Handgunlaw.us and personal experience with travel around the country.

The only restrictions here by statute are bars, courthouses, K-12 schools, domestic violence shelters, and any residence where the CCW holder hasn't obtained permission to carry within the dwelling. There might be one or two I have missed, but I think that about covers it. Anything else with a "gun free zone" policy is simply trespass if you're caught carrying and you refuse to leave.

Similar to Vermont, there is no permit requirement here either, but it is still available for reciprocity reasons.

I've seen no signs in New York State, other than the Post Office, and other federal buildings and airports.

One restriction here in Missouri is that you must be 23 and not 21.

From what I can tell, getting a non-resident VA permit isn't bad at all. Since you apply to the state police rather than a locality it should not be a problem. VA and FL licenses are also now valid in DE, so I wouldn't put DE on the really bad list.

Very few "no-guns" signs here in Kentucky, and even those don't have the force of law behind them. Owners can only ask you to leave if discovered cc'ing. I carry where allowed by law, and ignore such signs.

Delaware isn't one of the worst, and it's good they now accept a few states..... However, it is still "may" issue for residents at the descretion of the judge. You also have to publish your name and address as a CCW applicant in a local paper, and hope no one that doesn't like you objects. I am not sure if a Delaware resident can carry on a VA or FL permit.
