This is a case of the CWP instructor NOT pounding the concealed section into his students.

I agree, 2nd time = free ride to jail.

Sounds like this guys brain has only two speeds...slow and off. He won't have his CCW permit very long.

Stay armed...increase the brain speed when CCW...stay safe!

As Bill Engvall would say "Hey Bubba.....heres your sign!!!"

A trip to jail and explaining to the judge as to why the warning didn't sink in the first time is what he should have gotten after the second call to the police.

From time to time during my career I would encounter people who just would not think the words you were telling them applied to them. You could look them straight in the face and say don't do so and so, or do so and so this way, and they'd just smile and keep on doing their thing.

The guy is lucky he wasn't arrested, but I bet he must have somehow impressed the cop that he was O.K., because that second chance was pretty dang generous.

The fellow is one of those who just thinks the words don't apply to him. He heard what the cop told him. He probably was told what the law is in his concealed class. He just thinks the words don't apply to him.

The cop will see him a third time I'm sure. The end result will be an arrest.

It isn't the concealed part that concerns me...if he didn't have enough sense to understand the gravity and responsibility...then I cringe on his understanding, knowledge, and experience concerning the use of the weapon.

What an idiot! I wonder if LE didn't bust him the second time as they would have had to explain why they didn't bust him the first time (red tape?). Either way, the permit holder is a risk to us all.

Those methods don't fix stupid. They just remove one instance of it from the gene pool.

Seems like the concealment concept would have been gone over in in training class.

The older I get I ask God why did he put so many stupid people on this green earth ? People who refuse to follow authority whether it's the law or common safety rules but that's in my world. The road to hell is paved with good intentions so I guess the officer was just trying to give this guy a break he didn't deserve.
Guys like him with give the rest of us with ccw black eyes so he should of been
arrested.A brandishing charge would have smarted him up as he would have to lay out some serious cash to keep his permit.

I would have given him the benefit of the doubt the second time around and hoped that it was a mistake on his part.

It is entirely possible that he just got caught up in what he was doing and didnt notice that his shirt pulled up to expose his gun.

With that being said, I would have informed him of the law, and made it very clear than another infraction would land him in jail for a weapons related charge, and in this state, that would have ended his permit to carry, and not only that, but since it was a weapons related infraction that it would disqualify him for ever getting one in the future.

Thats a pretty hefty sum to pay for inattention to detail.

Once he understood that, any other call would have ended it for him and if he did'nt figure out that, the Judge would figure it out for him.
