Nonresident Florida CCW Permit Has Arrived!
This is for those interested in the turnaround time for a nonresident Florida CCW permit.
I am surprised, but my nonresident Florida CCW permit was in the mail when I got home. Not a bad turnaround considering the experiences posted by others. FYI, my application was mailed on the night of June 11. The application fee check posted to my account on June 25. Permit arrived on August 11. I did not use the electronic fingerprints.

Thanks!
It's even better that they extended the term to 7 years before I got it. Sweet!

Any benefit to getting a non-resident Florida permit if I already hold a Utah Resident permit?
Thanks! |

I don't think there's much benefit since you are a Utah resident. Your Utah permit is good in Florida. I do not have a resident California CCW so the only way to carry a concealed firearm in Florida is to obtain their nonresident permit. Your Utah permit is pretty similar to the Florida permit in terms of state reciprocity and recognition.

I have FL and UT. You cannot ever bank on the rules not changing with a license. Congratulations!

Just got my renewal back. Right about the same turnaround as yours......call it 7 or 8 weeks.
