One more reason I won't be going to visit my holier-than-thou step-sister.

I'd like to know why VA dropped us from their list though, it goes against the very definition of "reciprocal." I'm wondering if TN will be returning the favor.

Don't be surprised if Tenn drops VA. Many states have a "if you don't honor ours we won't honor yours" type attitude. I sure hope this isn't the case.

With family in VA we travel their a few times each year. This makes me thankful that I still have a valid VA permit until 2011. My TN permit just arrived last week and is good until 2012.

I guess I have until 2011 for them to work it out.

Tennessee does not have such a provision in its laws. Tennessee honors all valid (resident) permits issued by all states, period. It's a shame some other states I could mention don't appear to have the same attitude.

I wonder if this is simply a mistake. VCDL makes no mention of this.

I don't see Tennessee listed on the VSP Reciprocity Lists.
