Since I dont have my ccw yet (appointment in 10 days). I carry S&W Sigma 9mm with 17+1 rounds fmj first 7 rds Golden Sabers the other 11. when on personal property or at work, also my properties.
This will be my primary when I receive my ccw.

I am getting a Ruger LCP on Monday to use as my BUG which without extra mags give me 25 rounds

I always carry 1 leatherman, 1 tactical quick opener. Swiss army on my keys.

In my backpack I have a first aid kit and a flashlight. I try to carry one light on me too but my 2 y.o son likes it more than I do I guess, because he always takes it. Mag light in every car.

I ride into the Red Zone every day doing close protection and I don't carry that much crap! ;)

Actually, yes I do, but I'm in Baghdad for crying out loud. I still only carry two flashlights (and one is mounted on my rifle) and two knives (and one of these is a multi-tool). Have you, at any point in your life, come close to needing your fifth knife or third flashlight?

But I can be just as dead here just as much as you can over there, LOL!

Need more flashlights? Yes, as long as there are dark places in the world, I will be prepared! I've been in several life or death situations where I've had three flashlights and that not be enough. I have a little one on my keychain (Fenix L0D), another that runs on AA's and has excellent runtime as a utility light (Fenix L2D CE), and the last one, usually the last one anyway, (sometimes I carry a SF 6P Malkoff LED Defender) is just pure blinding tactical power (Fenix T1). Plus extra batteries for it.

As for the knives, I use one for utility work, one defensive blade on each side, the sheath knife (TDI) is horizontal on left appendix and is easy to reach while sitting (and anywhere else, especially if my arms can't reach down below the waist) and I don't have to open it, and the last knife is little and I keep in it my wallet. So I have a two knives available for quick deployment on each side. Can anybody think of a reason why not to have a knife available in many different positions?

If you want to be technical, I have one more on my little Gerber multi-tool on my keychain.

Now keep in mind, this is coming from the person that carried at least a hundred .22 rounds while hunting with his father when he was 8. And several days worth of food. And clothes. And at least three ways to start fire. And I can't remember what else.

I carry my main gun on my strong side and a folding knife on my weak side.

It's surprising to me to see how many people carry extra mags, guess I better look into that...

Keys, wallet, shades, gun, mag, flashlight, card holder, cover (beret or bandanna depending on the days activities)...shirt, pants, clean undies, socks, boots.

Used to be a time when you would not catch me going out the door without at least 3 knives, now it is rare to catch me with one.

Very surprising to see how few carry pepper spray / OC / Mace - I see a lot of talk about "spraying the 70-year-old with the knife" and such, but the numbers here don't support the posts. Or the ones who carry it are more vocal, I suppose.

I understand the point for the courtroom: "If you carried spray, why didn't you use it?", but that seems like the tail wagging the dog.

I really don't want to shoot someone if spraying him would work.

I carry one pistol (either a .40 cal. Glock 23 or a 9 mm Kahr MK9), one spare magazine and a folding knife.

You're safer there then in our nations capital, or most liberal anti-gun cities for that matter.
