Since you took the class in Novi (so assuming you are live in Oakland County), just wanted to share that I know several people from Oakland County who received their CCW in 4 weeks.

I took my class with Ultimate Protection at the Gander Mountain store in Port Huron with the range time at Bluewater Sportsman's Club. It was indeed a blast. Mike and His wife are both pro's, aren't they? I took the class on May 31 and after hearing that Macomb County was taking up to 7 weeks to process apps, I waited until I moved up to Montmorency County to apply. It still took 52 days (yes, I counted

) but it would have only been 17 days if my prints had been process speedily at MSP. Actually had to be re-printed. The Gun Board met and the clerk called and said "come and pick it up." No interview.

That's great...I took mine at Gandermountain in Flint and had my range time at Bass Pro Shop in Auburn Hills. Dick and Scott were my teachers.They were both wonderful guys. I shoot a SA XD .40

Have you noticed an increase in people going for CCW in MI?

I would say that there was a LOT of people taking classes a year ago and then it stowed down, but I think it has picked back up the last 2-3 months.
