Congrats on the class! The wait is horrendous but at least you can carry in your vehicle, work and home until the Permit Fairy gets around to processing your application.

Don't get too excited, but get it in the mail!
I sent my application certified mail on April 21, 2008, the first day the post office was open after my class. Received a letter dated August 18th about a possible issue that turned up on my background check. Took two weeks to get certified court documents and back to DPS certified mail on September 2. Received it today, September 12th! Subtract two weeks for the run-around and a couple of day's each for the mail two times, that's at least 120+ days!
