1911 Carry

I did something different tonight and tried to carry OWB carry of my 1911. Feels good to carry a 45 and I love the 1911 s . Now for the tuff part ." I show a Little to much Gun". You could tell by the end of the Barrel sticking out from under my shirt. My wife tells me I am showing and that i should leave it in the Jeep. No way am I doin that. I live in Louisiana so worse case scenario I am open carrying. My Wife Says where Is your Little Gun. By Now I am blushing and wishing I had my Kahr CW 40 tucked IWB. Any Different Suggestions on carrying the 1911 other than OWB Strong Side. Man that where I feel the most Comfortable with my weapon. I should Probably train More from different Positions. Any suggestions? Thanks in Advance.

I still prefer IWB behind the point of the hip if I'm trying to conceal, especially if it's a 5" 1911.

I've had great luck with HBE, UBG, Milt Sparks, and TT Gun Leather as well as Galco IWB rigs. If you're dead set on OWB, I'd get a higher riding holster and a shorter 1911.

Pretty simple solution...buy a larger/longer shirt.

Carry behind the hip with a good holster that has a good cant. It won't "cure" the problem but it certainly will help so. Strong side, straight up and down makes it a little more "long" and obvious. Canted can at least pull it up a little bit more into your shirt.

+1 on limatunes post.
Buy a holster with more cant AKA tilt to the firearm and then it will not show.
