I'm sure most of you know but, those of you from SC can just get a non-resident permit from New Hampshire, for about $20, and then you can legally carry in GA. The application is 1 page long and takes 10 minutes to fill out, I highly recommend you apply for one.

Woo Hoo! Glad to finally see FL and KY on the list.. Now for GA, and we can travel through out the South, without having to disarm!

South Carolina is no longer on my "off limits" list. I see a trip to Charleston in the near future now that I don't have to forfeit my right to self-defense while in South Carolina.

Took 6 weeks for my check to get cashed and that was 9 days ago and I haven't received my NH permit yet.

The long wait for NH permits is an indication of the interest in having a permit. A couple of years ago the NH permit came back in 1 week. I have heard the same thing about PA's non resident now but which I received back before my check cleared.

Before it is noted that PA and SC are good, about a year ago PA was making noise and arrests especially in Philly for anything other than a PA permit. So $20 and 7 days later I am covered no matter what.

I guess I got in at a good time then, as mine was 4 weeks or less. I also had my permit in the mailbox the day the check cleared my bank.

Regardless, $20 bucks covers you in GA.....

I think the problem with NH is they had some people to move on to better jobs and the state won't let them be replaced. Add to thagt the increasing number of people applying and you have a mess.
