SC adds FL & KY

As of September 12, 2008, states with which South Carolina has reciprocity are:

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, and Wyoming.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division

It's a start, now for VA and WV

SECTION 23-31-215.

Quote:
(I) SLED must maintain a list of all permit holders and the current status of each permit. Upon request, SLED must release the list of permit holders or verify an individual's permit status. SLED may charge a fee not to exceed its costs in releasing the information under this subsection.
This sounds a lot like a verification system to me.

That is a nice hole filled along the east coast.

FL's website still does not have SC, I Just got off of the phone with Tallahassee and the lady I spoke with said SC is still not on the FL list. "they are being stubborn"

This is what I got from a guy at the DoL:

Good afternoon, Mr. Morris:

I just wanted you to know that effective today Florida and South Carolina are reciprocal states. SLED has already posted Florida to its website (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division). We will be posting South Carolina to our website within the next half hour.

Have a pleasant weekend.

Now if only SC & GA would reciprocate, I'd be pretty much covered to anywhere I travel.

Woohoo! Now I can drive home to WV without stopping at the SC border to disarm, then in NC to re-arm.

I don't think GA will be added until there is a resolution to SC's requirement for training.

And it's there!!!

I really thought that SC would never recognize FL because our training requirements include military service.
