I keep one loaded nearby while working and have it on my hip when coming and going. One of the privileges of owning the business and making the rules.
So what are the rules for your employees?

My company policy is that all employees must be armed, either openly or concealed (their choice) while on the clock.

I carry the same weapon on and off the clock.
I own my business and I am the boss.

Same here. And more of them at work these days, as well...

Seriously, though, my duty gun is a SigP228. I bought my own SigP228 for "off-duty" carry, just so I'd have a duplicate when my issue one is in transit from one country to another or whatever. I also have a P239 with a very similar feel and operating system for when the 228 is just a hair too big.

If you carry different guns in different places in different rigs, I believe you should at least try to have them be similar in the way they handle and function.

Fortunately, my employer has no written gun policy. I dont even know his thoughts on 2A rights. I keep well concealed and never tell. I carry the same 1911 at work as I do at play. My EDC is exactly that ... "every day carry".

+1 on benefits of being the boss...
Unfortunately, except for 2A issues, since opening my own business my boss is the biggest SOB I have ever worked for . . .

I own the business/am the boss/set the policy. The nature of my work (landscaping) requires something that is lighter, cooler and more deeply concealed during the summer months. So, it's a KelTec P3AT in the front right pocket while working & my P239 IWB when I'm off the clock.

I am in the military, the should give me a gun to carry at work, even if it is an M9, better than the Benchmade in my front pocket daily.
