That's almost me exactly. On the farm I carry a Ruger LCP, off the farm (in bigger city) I carry a P239, though sometimes a G27 or a Colt Defender.

I would do both, but that's because I prefer two guns over one.

At one point that is how I carried (primary in SmartCarry and P3AT in pocket). Then I fell in love with a revolver for a BUG, so the P3AT rarely gets carried now.

Hope you have a good holster and/or loose pants so the LCP won't print.

Preferred EDC is Officer's 1911, but if I have to be more discrete, I'll carry my Kahr PM40 in a Thunderwear holster. I carry one or the other (or both) everywhere it is legal. The Kahr is sometimes the preferred carry gun here in Seattle where there is a high percentage of anti-gun believers like Mayor Nickles.
