Not that I know of. I posted this one just to inform our TN residents if they didn't already know.

That just plain sucks. Those records should not be publicly accessible.

I agree, that's why I was wondering if there was a NC list.

I can see a lawsuit coming.

So, somebody can enter their neighbor's name on the website, find out if the neighbor has a CCW permit, wait until everyone's gone, and then steal all of the guns.

Good grief. Aren't our legislators brilliant?

its atleast 8 months out of date, I am not there. If I remember correctly, it is just like any other permit or state licence it is a matter of public record. Althought you usually had to go the court house to see the records,, Ah the miracle of modern technology

Thanks for providing the list.

I am not trying to start a political argument but I feel like the wrong question is constantly asked, although that isn't meant to be a criticism. Often the question is along the lines of, "why are these records public?", and is frequently followed by a very reasonable answer to why they should be or should not be public.

I would argue the question should be, why does the government need this information? In my opinion, they don't, and I'm on that list by the way. Now imagine if the list consisted of a different group. Say...people with STDs. Some people may argue that's a good idea due to the risk people with STDs could pose to society (for what it's worth I don't think such a list of that should exist either) but you know there would be an uproar for patients rights, which I would in fact agree with. However it is just amusingly sad for me to me to realize that I am required to provide information for everyone for something that is a right, yet things that aren't rights...require nothing. I would love there to be a public list of female's between the age of 21-28 with at least C cups and a BMI of 20. It would make getting lai...err dating a lot easier. Just like this list makes crim...err safety much easier.
