Sheriff Nau's office has been great for me for the past 20 years. While I resided in Centre county, while I lived out of state, and when I returned to PA.

Dauphin County seems to have such a demand that they have an office open 2 nights a week for 4 hours each. There is a ton of traffic in and out (I know because it is next to my business and I work late sometimes). You fill out your form and pay on Monday and you can pick up your permit (assuming no complications) the following Monday.

I mailed mine on Monday and got it Saturday. Quickest permit I ever got.

Pa ccp

I have been out of the loop for a bit so I hope someone can give me some intell.
I am currently living and working in the Philippines and my current CCP will expire in Feb 2010.
It was issued in York County, but when I return to live I will be in Lancaster County.
I will be returning to Pa in Oct 2009 for a furlough and my question is this,... can I apply for and get issued a new permit before my old one runs out?
It would be nice to return to the Philippines and not worry about my CCP expiring before I get back home again five months later.
Thanks.

I have no idea. Make sure you are up to date with all of your change of address. I Know in Connecticut if you let it expire you have to start all over.
