Carry in AZ Bank?

Hey All You Knowledgeable People,

I have my Arizona CCW permit but am unclear on whether I can carry in a bank. I see nothing in the laws that states that I can't, however, I have heard from various sources (CCW instructors, Gun store clerks) that I cannot. Does anyone know for certain?

Thanks

Unless posted, there is no prohibition in banks to my knowledge.

Prohibitions on carrying firearms in these venues apply to both open and concealed carry.
• Any establishment licensed to serve alcohol for on-premises consumption (e.g., a bar or restaurant,
but not a liquor store or supermarket that sells alcoholic beverages in sealed containers).
• Any establishment or event open to the public where the operator makes a reasonable request for you to give them custody or remove the weapon from the premises. A sign would qualify for such
request. By law, cities and counties are required to offer on-site storage if they ban weapons but not all are in compliance.
• The grounds of any public school, other than the parking lot. In order to be legal in the parking lot the
weapon must be unloaded, and, if left in an unattended vehicle, such vehicle must be locked and the
weapon out of sight.
• State universities and community colleges. Community-college parking lots are treated like those of
public schools.
• Commercial nuclear or hydroelectric generating stations.
• Polling places on Election Day.
• Correctional facilities (this includes the parking lot of such facilities).
• Game refuges (except during an authorized hunt).
• You can take a firearm onto school property if you follow the procedure below.
Banks not listed unless posted or licensed to sell alcohol for on premises consumption.

I've never seen an Arizona bank posted. I asked my personal banker the same thing and he said "I want all the legal guns in here I can get"!

Thanks all, its as I expected, but wanted to be sure. Carried a concealed 1911 in the bank for first time today and felt very uncomfortable. Usually have Kel-Tec PF-9 in the pocket with no worries, but carrying 5" Colt felt awkward, so had to verify that I had nothing to worry about.

If you want that uneasy feeling to go away, then do what I do. I just open carry. After you open carry for a couple weeks, including in banks, the uneasy feeling about carrying concealed goes away quite quickly.
