I have the same carry gun. What is your build? What cover garment do you usually wear?

Maybe I'm an internet ninja, but the most naturally accessible and quickest draw position is between 10 and 2 (including cross draw).
Behind the hip, I like the "cavalry" (palm out) draw - though I've never actually worn that, either. But I'm more confident that retsupt99 has field tested and settled on it. I'm right-handed and seriously considering a left-hand CTAC (and a right-hand one for the other positions).

I carry at the 3-4 o'clock position in a K&D Dakota Defender.

pistology, i am 6'4" 205 lbs. i'd say slender to med build. I tried the 4-5ish position tonight and oooo baby it fits nice. Somehow i think this will b my carry spot. Again thank you all for all your input and knowledge.

Don't rule out "Appendix carry" (A-IWB). I carried at 4-5 before I tried A-IWB and the only time I carry behind the hip now is when I have to tuck my shirt in. I find that A-IWB is faster, more accessible when seated, and easier to get the gun into action when you are in the middle of a fight at contact range (in a clinch, ground-fighting, etc.).

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

Hmm... I'm gonna have to play with appedix carry tonight. I carry 4:00 IWB and while in my mind appendix carry seems to make for easier, quicker access, I always thought it would be uncomfortable when seated (how I spend most of my day ).

I can carry my G17 in AIWB all day with no problems, even when spending a lot of time seated. That said, I usually carry a G19 simply because it's more comfortable and the grip doesn't print as much in lighter-weight clothing (t-shirts, etc. for summertime).
