Eye problems & glasses
Since I'm around the half century mark my eyes are getting worse. I need bifocals for up close vision. I find that to see my sights accurately I have to tilt my head upwards to focus through my bifocals. I have thought about getting glasses with the magnification added at the top of the lens so I don't have to tilt my head. Does anyone else have this problem and how did you solve this problem? Thanks

I've heard of people doing this. I wear trifocals but frankly I don't think moving the close reading lens to the top would help me at all and would certainly complicate all my non shooting activities.

My close up vision is not that hot, but my distance is great. So, I'm wearing "bifocal" contact lenses. They seem to work pretty well.

Check out progressives, the ones without the lines, they work for me.

A friend of mine in a similar situation wears reading glasses when shooting (full glasses, not the little half moon ones). You're supposed to be focused on the front sight anyway, so it doesn't really matter if stuff further away is blurry.

XS Big Dots may be a non-lens solution. I'm very astigmatic, but still able to pick up the Standard dot w/o glasses. Kinda important to me...

I had a pair of the "upside down" bifocals made up for me with the close vision on top. Works like a charm. The targets fuzzier than before but the front site is nice and sharp and no craning my neck.
Also you can, uh, er, hmm, what were we talking about?
