Copies of form 887-B (application for a sandpaper ownership permit) are available at the courthouse. Be aware, though, that each piece of sandpaper must be individually registered with the state...which requires a $500 fee and an 8-10 month wait.

I would really recommend not moving out of America. You may think it is temporary but end up getting stuck there.

Lived in NYS for 34 years

I then decided I would move to the D.C. metro area because there was better jobs and lower taxes. I moved to Maryland which is worse than NY state when it comes the 2nd ammendment. I like to call it the People's Republic of Maryland. I then decided that mmmmm Maryland sucks too and moved to Virginia. I can honestly say having been there for 34 years and even having 5 sisters and a brother there (my entire living family) I WILL NEVER MOVE BACK! There are no jobs outside of NYC of course and the taxes are out of control. I am frm Upstates I grew up in Spencerport and owned a home in Gates for 11 years. I have a concealed carry permit. It took me 2 weeks to get mine because I have friends in the Monroe County Sherriff's office who was friends with the signing judge but past that the average time to wait is 11 months and its expensive.

I just applied and recieved my CCW in VA as a resident and for Utah so I can now carry in like 40 of the 50 states.

Nassau issues restricted permits only. Target, hunting, business, and plain unrestricted if you got a hook.

This link is pretty good NY Pistol Permit information by County - AR15.COMto get an understanding of how the different counties issue.... the guys try to keep it as up to date as pos. A lot of counties are backed up right now so I would add about 3-4 months onto any time that is listed!

I just saw you said her family is in Buffalo, I seached this out because I was going to move up there. From what I have read, Niagara County (on the border of buffalo) issues unrestricted as apposed to erie county (where buffalo is)
