Being proud, embarrassed or any other emotion has nothing to do with legally carrying a gun.
You say that like you feel carrying a gun is "bad" ???

In Florida, it is not illegal as long as it is not intentional.
In the 20+ years my wife and I have been carrying, I am sure the guns has been exposed thousands of times, so what ???

I am not proud of it, I am not annoyed it happened, I don't care !!!

I posted this scenario several months ago - I was in WW and in the back of the store and decided I need to adjust my IWB holster. At the exact moment I lifted my shirt to adjust a manager walks by at the end of the isle facing me and my strong side. I looked him straight in the eye and I don't think he ever looked down as I quickly pulled my shirt down. I was actually more affraid that my quick reaction to pulling my shirt down would make him think I was shoplifting! He kept walking and nothing every happened.

FFwd to earlier this week and I am walking into the front entrance which is rare since I always use the garden or auto entrances and I follow a LEO in the store. He opens a door right up by the front glass doors and there is a little room with about five or six guys jammed in it and security cameras everywhere. Just food for thought.

Exactly the right advice. Good luck and thanks for carrying.

You don't bend over. You bend at the knees. You reach for something with your off hand. There are things that you don't do when carrying a gun. Carrying a gun should be a life altering experience. If it isn't, leave it at home.

Give it time. You will learn. Ask more questions. Good luck.

In Ohio, the ONLY thing that better happen, if anything, is that a cop might ask to see you CHL. Anything beyond that isn't kosher and may be actionable.

You'd be surprised at how little attention it gets. I just got home, OC'd at the Wal-Mart (they had 15 or so boxes of .40 on the shelf but I didn't need any) without a peep.

Sounds like it could have happened in my hometown of Skagway. Small town Alaska police...they tend to get board then overreact!
