If I need a job, then I really need a job. Somethings might have to be set aside, or at least learn a little stealth.

What scares the heck out of me is that companies will follow BO's guidelines in his "White House Personnel Data Questionnaire" for a job in his administration.

Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun?
If so, provide complete ownership and registration information.
Has the registration ever lapsed?
Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.

This opens the door for employers to start asking the same information on your job application for any company. Fortunately here in Florida we are protected from an Employer even asking this for now.

If the job took me on the road into areas I am not familiar with and potential danger areas it might make a difference.

My employer just made a video regarding carrying firearms at work and managing threats.

After watching the video I gave up on them entirely. Strange threat management video at work...

I wouldn't bring the subject of firearms up in a job interview.

I wouldn't mention it at all unless
  1. The job required it, or
  2. I wanted them to NOT hire me.

But didn't you agree to follow the rules they gave you?

I start retiring/clearing from the Army 8 July after 23 years 6 Months of service. I have no job prospects at this time, and getting really worried.

I'll take a job that doesn't allow carry if it keeps my family feed and housed.
