Not sure I follow you. I AM looking though....

Oh! Nevermind. The poll didn't come up right away for some reason.

I would wait, read the handbook, then ask, IF I ask at all.

The only way I would bring it up is if I was applying at a gun shop or a firing range.

Other than that, if I got the offer, I would get a copy of the handbook, and make the decision from there.

For me, company policy is just company policy. I would know if it was illegal to carry there as soon as I got to the interview.

In todays market, if I needed the job, and it was a good opportunity, I don't think carry policy would deter me from taking the job.

I'd get the job and then check their policy. If the job was temporary and not a lifelong career, I would completely ignore their policy and carry either way. If it was a lifelong career, I'd get the job and ask about their policy before accepting the position.

I would be much more concerned as to what I wanted in the job, and CCW would not enter in unless I had two offers that were essentially equal.

After getting the job I would obey the rules.

Regards,
Jerry

Never ask. Read the rules and any contract carefully.

Of course, you should always read any rules or contract carefully.

I am currently seeking employment and I selected other. First off I will not ask if a potential employer allows CC. If they are rabid anti you just lost the possibility for a job. Once I am hired I'll read the handbook and abide by it. Why give yourself away when there is no reason to.

If a potential employer ask if I carry I will tactfully avoid giving them an answer. It's none of their business to know that information.
