Are you all nuts? I would like to be prepaired as the next guy but you can not be serious about being so worried while taking a shower? If you are so worried maybe we can start a DC shower club where 1 member will come by and stand guard while the other takes care of personal business while in the bathroom. Maybe we need to build shower into panic room as well.
Wouldn't it be a easier to slip gun into bathrobe pocket or take a long towel fold it into a 1/3 and sew a pocket to hold the gun and hang the set up over towel bar so it looks normal ?

Personally, I realized I had to stop showering or bathing to be safe. I do smell a little gamey recently, so I need to send for a fellow DCer to cover the stall for me so I can rinse off some of this filth. Anyone free tomorrow?

I am also thinking about giving up sleep so I never go to Condition White. It's all about being safe, ya know.

Bedroom (handgun on night table) and shower are on the second floor. Master bedroom has a secure door with door bar. There is an alarm system that is more than loud enough to warn me if anything/anyone attempts to enter the first level.

Heck, you can run a Glock through the dishwasher so why would you worry about a shower? Just use it as an opportunity to clean your gun!

I solved the problem by hanging a stainless steel handgun from a piece of rope around my neck...not unlike a soap on a rope...though I have had problems keeping a soapy speed loader secured where the sun don't shine....

The only attack I've experienced in the shower was having ice cold water thrown on me...

With a couple of these wired to the bathroom door, I don't have to worry anymore. I have one set up on a 5 second delay, so if the ninja zombie team that comes to get me sends in a recon element first, the first mine gets them, and the second mine on delay gets the main force coming in behind them.

Although, as I type this, I think I see a flaw in my plan - what about an air mobile assault? If they breach the ceiling, they could get around my defenses....
ok Matt, thats funny right there, I don't care who you are
almost spilled my coffee.....
careful or you will be worshipped by Gecko45

I guess an option would be to wear smartcarry and just wash around it, I'll post pictures later........err...never mind

If loose gun laws are good for criminals, why do criminals support gun control?

Why do I have an odd feeling this thread will be shared with the gun-free world in disbelief? I carry daily, I love my right, to be honest though, this topic makes me see why some of us are viewed as fanatics. I mean, if you live in a neighborhood where you have to worry about shower time, I think it's time to move brother.

I gotta say, the idea that someone is worried about shower time and being armed makes me think you might be taking it a little bit too far. that's just me though but still, yikes.

I have an early warning system - my guard cat - she sits by the door when I shower - she even cries when my wife approaches the door. Plus at my age, the intruders better be blind or they may have a heart attack. The wringles do not leave even when soaked in hot water.
