The police might be able to trace these Obama voters through use of your son's phone, if they consider it worth their while. In any event your son's safety is really the only important thing. But tragically, the next time he might not be so lucky. Notice these human debris travel 5 or 6 at a time. Pepper spray--even a good knife--would be of limited use. My son is 30 and living in Pittsburgh, certainly not a bad town compared to many, but not exactly a "Leave it to Beaver" setting either. I've suggested he get his CC license and I'll be getting him a Smith 38 air weight or a Glock 19--or both--for his birthday. With a criminal in the White House, deliberately destroying the nation's economy, we face a potential social upheaval which will make the riots after M.L. King's death look like a fracas at a little league game. Now is the time to prepare for some very, very dangerous days ahead.

As a father I can imagine the pain you were feeling. I have taken a couple of beatings in my life and I also know how your son was feeling. I am glad he is OK. There is nothing worse then your own child being in harms way.

I hope they catch the cowards and at least your boy dropped one of them with what sounds like one hell of a punch. :)

All that matters is that he is safe and in good hands. Property can be replaced anytime. Just prepare your son for future attacks such as peper spray.

You might be right. It appears that our faithless leaders in DC want some kind of societal breakdown.

There's no such thing as a "good town" or even a "good part of town", only towns and neighborhoods with a temporary shortage of bad people. It only takes ONE person to change that in an instant.

I am saddened but not surprised, as there seems to be increasing juvenile thuggery and delinquency in this country. Thankfully your son is alright, because many others are not so lucky.

Such incidents show the need for law-abiding citizens to carry concealed for their own protection.

Don't be hard on yourself for the time waiting for the police. Even if you had got there 2 minuets after it happened, you would not have found them.

Maybe the mall parking lot has video of the incident. It might help if the police are going to go forth with phone records and tracking the phone, but I doubt that this is going to go much farther than the filed report.

Kind of "Been There, Done That" as well. Still wish I had called down the family to address this on my own terms instead of letting the police handle it, but it was the responsible thing to do. My vengeance would have cost me more than it was worth. He is on my list though.
