Just keep the gun concealed well so people don't try to take it from you to "play" with it. For any that don't already know you're carrying, don't tell them.

Not wanting to start a debate on drinking and carrying but, no, you can legally carry in a bar and consume alcohol while doing so in PA. There is no BAC limit. If you get into any trouble while being drunk, you will probably lose your LTCF. Remember the character clause on your application? "An individual whose character and reputation is such that the individual would be likely to act in a manner dangerous to public safety." No trouble, no problem as far as legality.

I don't drink at all so it's not an issue W/ me but it's is legal to Carry in a place that sells alcohol and you can drink but not be legally intoxicated. At a house party I'd keep my mouth shut and carry.

The question did not say at a bar or restaurant, it is at a private residence. Carry in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol for consumption laws do not apply.

I think the rule of stupids just about says it all with one more thing:

If all your friends fall into one of the categories, get new friends because one day you will likely get involved in an issue which could cause you to regret "someone" not growing up.

In Ga, you'd be covered, provided you're not partaking.

In New Mexico you can't carry a firearm (loaded or unloaded) into a business that dispenses alcohol for consumption on-premises. That would certainly include restaurants, hotel bars, convention centers, etc. There are a few special cases, but that's the simple summary.

On private property there's no such restriction. So it would seem to be legal to carry at a private residence where a party with alcohol was being served.

But I wonder what would happen if the hosts of a party (say in a home or office building) hired a catering company with an alcohol license to dispense alcohol. Would that "private property" be considered the caterer's "place of business" for the night, where they are "dispensing alcohol for consumption on-premises", thereby making it illegal for you to carry at the party...?

It sounds like it would be between you and the property owner/host.
