Update on Oregon CHL

So I was out of town for the past few days, but I was very pleased today to find a letter from the Douglas County Sheriffs Department containing my CHL. I went in for my appointment on October 21st. and my license was issues on the 29th. I am impressed and greatly appreciate the prompt turn around. I was told the expected wait was around 4-5 weeks. It arrived in a little over one. Now I just have to wait another 20 weeks or so for my VMII and I'll be in business.

Congrats...

I'm in Josephine County where we have no interview...it took me about 6 days after I turned in the paperwork.

OSP must be keeping up with the background checks pretty well now.

In December, the wait was around 6-7 weeks.

Another from Josephine County here. Mine took about a week also. Our Sheriff is a good guy, and hopefully will be re-elected
