NRA personal Protection in the Home

I took this class Friday from HGR Firearms here in Middle Tennessee. It's a great course. The NRA actually uses the phrase :If you look like food you will be eaten" in the video portion. We trained in defensive sight alignment, snap shots, double and triple taps. Shooting from strong and weak barricade, kneeling. All the fun stuff you can't really do on a range when you target shoot. We covered some of the physiological aspects of having to shoot at another human being. It's also a prerequisite for the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home course that I want to take next.
If someone in your area is holding this class...I'd strongly consider taking it.
You can never have too much training.

Is it as much fun as I've been told? They don't have that class scheduled yet.

It is a fun course, but it is very basic and meant to be an introduction into self defense shooting. Its a good place to start your training, but certainly dont end it there.

Did you take it from Mr. Camponovo down in Nashville?

I took the "in the home" class from Greg Knox with HGR Firearms.
I was talking to another student was is also one of HGRs instructors who was talking about how much more fun the outside the home class was due the the different shooting situations.

My next class is looking to be advanced handgun 1 from "The Range Inc" this coming up Sat...if I hear back from them in time.
