COURSE: ADVANCED DEFENSIVE PISTOL (3-day class )
This intense course will supplement the student’s existing handgun training with advanced gunfighting
skills based on the Modern Technique of the Pistol and real-world experience. Course material includes practical
marksmanship, gun-handling, continuity of fire, malfunction clearance, shooting with movement, mental
conditioning for combat, use of cover, wounded drills, one hand manipulation, ground-fighting, weapon retention
and more. It incorporates full-contact defensive tactics with live-fire shooting. This is NOT a basic course, and
is physically challenging. It is NOT competition oriented. Attendance is dependent on prior completion of
Morrigan’s Defensive Pistol class or an acceptable defensive pistol course from a competent training provider.
Check with Morrigan Consulting if you are not sure.
EQUIPMENT: Each student will need to bring a heavy-duty pistol with a holster and a carrier system for
spare ammunition (at least two spare magazines or speed loaders) a flashlight with a push-button switch, and knee
and elbow pads. Bring your concealment carry gear, or tactical gear if you use it, but bring the gear you are likely
to fight in! This is not competition oriented. Wrap-around eye protection and hearing protection are mandatory
for all attendees.
AMMUNITION: 900 rounds of full-power ammunition is a minimum.
HOURS: 08:00 to 17:00 on day 1 and 3. Late start and night shoot on day 2 if permitted.
FEE: Tuition is $500.00 This does NOT include range use fees if any. A non-refundable (unless class
cancels) deposit of $200 with your completed application form, will reserve your slot. Enrollment is strictly limited
to 12 students. Please be sure of your schedule before applying. Make checks to Morrigan Consulting & mail with
application and all supporting documents to Morrigan’s address below.
