They have a high turnover of instructors so it can be hit or miss. It's also a timeshare type business. The "$2,000 certificates" can usually be found on ebay for $50-$100. They have had "Hurry act now before there gone" deals ever since they opened.

Their high pressure sales tactics kinda turn me off. I live in Nevada but I'm heading to Gunsite!

I have trained with a guy that was once an instructor their. With out going into detail he left Front Sight after a couple of years.

Over all the technique they teach are solid.

If there is a large turn over of the instructor, at any facility, I would be leery.

I seriously considered front site, espeically since you can attend as many classes as possible if you buy the patriot package and you get a free XD, but Gun site is like less than 2 hours away from my place. I knew a guy, who has since passed away (KIA), and he trained at Front site while he was in college, and he was pretty much a crack shot, but also the first person to tell you that shooting skills are perishable.

Hmm, I could have sworn I replied to this thread but it disappeared? I certainly didn't think my post was offensive? What happened to it?

Wink

No actually it was a REBUTTAL to the so called "high pressure sales tactics" charge above. Let me summarize as I can't remember exactly what I said before.

I went to Front Sight 2 years ago for my first class. After the class, I became a Front Sight lifetime member. My wife and daughter are now lifetime members.

I think it is good training and with the memberships, affordable for life.

I DON'T think they have "high pressure sales tactics". If you don't want to watch the video or listen to the sales pitch, you are free to ignore it. That is NOT like a "high pressure sales tactic" like most time-share and similar places use.

If I lived in one of the surrounding states of NV, it would be a no brainer to buy a membership at FS.
