FAM Training
Since I am no longer able to post my courses on this web sight, you will have to endure my thoughts on training. I was scrolling through some posts and came across one about Federal Training. Not wanting to steal anyone’s thunder I though I would start my own thread. Listed below is an excerpt from an article on FAM's
the key to an air marshal's work is his weapon. These agents have the highest standards for marksmanship in the law-enforcement business. I learned that actually firing the gun is almost an afterthought. Much more important were my stance, my breathing, my grip and my focus on the front sight of the gun. If you have read any of my posts this will sound familiar. Now you know where I got it from..... The entire article is linked below this article came out in 2004. Some will say the training standards for FAM’s have diminished……I still train and qualify folks on the same course of fire. My Life As An Air Cop - TIME |

Huh. Talk about high-stress. I hate flying though, so definitely not for me. It's an interesting article because it gives insight without substance (smart idea). The qualification course of fire the FAM use (or used to use) was posted online not long ago; I have a printout that I use as a set of goals.
Thanks for posting. Good article. -B |

A good article, given the constraints likely/obviously imposed.
"the key to an air marshal's work is his weapon." The key to an air marshal's work is... the air marshal. The tools are just that.
