Fear can save your life

Link here

I found this on CNN, NO I DON'T watch Oprah , Nothing against her, just not my kind of show. But Sheep herder does come to mind.

It's something we are pretty familiar with on here, but it's good to see that the are getting a little lesson in observation and situational awareness.

The first step to becoming a victim is to Believe "It won't happen to me".

I'm no fan of either Oprah or Gavin, but Gavin has done a fantastic job of bringing our instincts to our attention. For that alone, he deserves a great deal of praise.

What if you "offended" the person you thought was a BG...lol
I was walking along University of Maryland's campus like 11pm and saw this short Asian lady walking in front of me, and considering my hight etc I figured she would be fearful and I was proven right when she ran off towards her car and I actually felt "offended" but the day after I thought she did the right thing, despite how I felt initially.

Better to feel wrong than to feel sorry...

Go with the gut

And on absolutely everything in my life, when I have not listened to my gut, gone with my instinct, I have lived to regret it.

That has been true of everything from choosing what to study in school, to which house to buy, from when to sell a stock, to what car I should buy.

I'd have never lasted 33 years in my career were it not for good instincts, and following them.

If something doesn't seem right, it isn't. Get out of there. If a person you are doing business with doesn't seem right, they probably aren't; go somewhere else.

Instinct or gut, or sixth sense isn't infallible, but it is still the brain processing the sum total of all information it has available. And if you override it with "intelligent processes," you may do so at risk.

Your gut is a few millenia of survival-oriented evolution trying to tell you something.

Listen.
